The 110th Annual Conference on Taxation will cover a broad range of topics including, but not limited to, taxation and tax policies; expenditure policies; government budgeting; intergovernmental fiscal relations; and subnational, national, and international public finance. The conference will focus, as always, on policy-relevant research bearing on taxation and government spending.

You are invited to submit a paper or a complete session. The deadline for submitting papers or sessions is Friday, May 12, 2017. Decisions concerning the inclusion of papers and sessions will be announced in July 2017. All presenters must then register and pay a conference registration fee.

We are using an online submission procedure. To submit a paper or session, please go to: https://editorialexpress.com/conference/NTA2017/

To submit a paper:

  • Go to the Conference Maker page for the 2017 NTA conference using the link above, log on, look at the left-hand sidebar in the “Papers” section, click on “Submit a Paper,” and follow the instructions there.
  • You will need to provide the following information: the title of the paper; an abstract of the paper and (preferably) a draft of the paper; up to three relevant subfields in which the paper fits; and the names and contact information for all authors, including e-mail addresses and institutional affiliations.

To submit a proposal for a complete session:

  • First, have the authors of papers in the proposed session submit their own papers using exactly the same procedure outlined above. Then, once those papers have been submitted, the session proposer should go to the Conference Maker page for the 2017 NTA conference, log on, look at the left-hand sidebar in the “Papers” section, click on “Submit a Session,” and follow the instructions there for grouping the already-submitted papers into the session, adding discussants if applicable, indicating the session proposer and session chair, and supplying a title for the session.

To volunteer as a potential discussant for the conference:

  • Please fill out this form, where you can suggest yourself in up to three fields. Please note that suggesting yourself now does not commit you to attend the conference (although we hope to see you there).

Please direct any questions to the program chairs at nta.philly2017@gmail.com.

See you in Philly!
