The 110th Annual Conference on Taxation will cover a broad range of topics including, but not limited to, taxation and tax policies; expenditure policies; government budgeting; intergovernmental fiscal relations; and subnational, national, and international public finance. The conference will focus, as always, on policy-relevant research bearing on taxation and government spending.

We are pleased to announce our luncheon speakers for Philadelphia: Former Treasury Secretary and President Emeritus at Harvard, Lawrence H. Summers; and Amy Finkelstein, the John & Jennie S. MacDonald Professor of Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and co-Scientific Director, J-PAL North America.

Also on the agenda: a plenary session panel discussion on the state of tax reform with distinguished panelists including Alan Auerbach (Robert D. Burch Professor Economics and Law, University of California at Berkeley), Jason Furman (former Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers, Senior Fellow, Peterson Institute for International Economics, and Professor of Practice at the Harvard Kennedy School), Glenn Hubbard (Former Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers, Dean of the Columbia Business School, and Russell L. Carson Professor Finance and Economics at Columbia University), and Kent Smetters (Boettner Professor of Business Economics and Public Policy, University of Pennsylvania). The conference ends with a continuing education session on Housing Markets and Local Public Finance with Fernando Ferreira, Associate Professor of Real Estate and Business Economics & Policy, The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
