Tax Executives Institute is the premier organization of in-house tax professionals in
North America. Its 5,000 members represent more than 2,700 companies in the United States
and Canada, and are organized in 50 local chapters as well as regionally and nationally.
Since its founding half a century ago, TEI has been dedicated to the development of sound
tax policy, compliance with and uniform enforcement of tax laws, and minimization of
administration and compliance costs to the benefit of both government and taxpayers. Our
members pledge to cooperate and exchange ideas with government officials in identifying
and resolving issues and problems in tax administration, and also to promote the
interchange of ideas and mutual assistance between our members and government tax
officials. TEI sponsors educational programs for its members, and engages in advocacy work
at the local, state (provincial), and federal levels.
