Communications And Details for Steering Committee Meeting:Snowbird, Utah, July 8-9, 1999
SNOWBIRD IS SITE FOR JULY 8-9TH MEETING The July 8-9th NTA Tax Project Steering Committee meeting will be held at the Snowbird Resort in Utah (outside Salt Lake City), where we held our April 1998 Steering Committee meeting. To reserve a room for this meeting, please note the following information: RESERVATIONS: Dial Snowbird reservations at 800/453-3000, and request a room for the "Committee On State Taxation/NTA Meeting." Room rates are $119 per night. Space is blocked for Wednesday, July 7th and Thursday, July 8th. In addition, on a space-available basis, you can reserve a room at this rate from July 5th through July 10th, if you wish to extend your stay and enjoy the mountain area. Room reservations should be received by June 7th. Our room block consists of 55 rooms for each night, so call on time! FLIGHTS/TRAVEL: Fly into Salt Lake City airport. Snowbird has a travel office that can arrange discounted airfares; inquire after this service when you call to reserve a room. Charter van transportation is available to the resort, or you can rent a car. Snowbird uses Canyon Transportation Company to shuttle guests to the lodge. The round-trip is $38, if booked with Snowbird (you get a discounted price). Just tell the reservationist you need shuttle service. Check in at the transportation desk at the baggage claim at the airport when you arrive; shuttles leave the airport every half-hour. Three person minimum if the shuttle departure from airport or lodge is before 8 am or after 11 pm. AGENDA: Our meeting will be devoted to a working session on the draft Report. The Drafting Committee and Operating Committee are meeting in mid-May to coordinate and to review drafting efforts on the Report. Prior to the July 8-9th meeting, all official "draft Report" materials will be circulated to the Steering Committee for review.
